Whimsy Stamps ~ Haunted House Tickets

I can remember so well a fun spooky ride we took at Disneyland when the kids were small. Nothing too scary, just a few spooky characters and eerie noises along the way, perfect fun for the kids! I've got to be honest I'm a softie and scary stuff freaks the heck out of me, I'm definitely up for the too cute to spook experiences, but we did have some fun checking out the rides and deciding what was in our comfort zone while we were there. Feels like a lifetime ago and making this card with the Halloween Tickets made me think of that visit. I also have fond memories of a Gypsy Fair, which these tickets also make me think of, which I took the kids to here in New Zealand when they were younger. That was great fun too.

I've used both of the tickets die sets to create this card. I cut the frame with the Terrific Tickets Die from gorgeous Rust Cardstock from Cardstock Warehouse's Colorplan Collection. It has a wonderful warm Autumnal hue to it. I set the scene in the photographs with their lovely envelopes too, in the Rust and Onyx colours. Their envelopes are lovely.

I cut the witch from the lovely Onyx Stardream Cardstock from Cardstock Warehouse. I trimmed the Witch Whispers Sister Die Set which usually includes her broom, so I could sit her on one of the tickets with what looks like a Crystal ball, hinting that there might be a clairvoyant at the fair. Most I've been to with the kids always had a tent for readings. I thought it was a fun touch to add her.

I used a cool ink pad to stamp the tickets. It's from the Kaleidacolor set of inks. They have a mix of ink colours in each ink pad that pull apart for storing and snap together for stamping. So clever and I love stamping with them. They bring something a little special to these stamped tickets. A gentle ombré finish which would have taken me ages to do any other way! I found the Cappuccino Delight ink pad was best to tone with the gorgeous Rust coloured cardstock and stamped the tickets out in that. A simple but striking design I think.

We've just had a rather gorgeous Christmas release at Whimsy Stamps, which I'm excited about, because they've brought out another stamp set to work with the lovely Terrific Tickets Die Sets! Crissy Armstrong has brought the Christmas magic again with some enchanting sets too. So do head to the store to check out all the Christmas gorgeousness landing there.

As I mentioned earlier in the post, I have used some lovely Cardstock Warehouse papers in my creation today. We have two fantastic prizes from Cardstock Warehouse to be won by random entrants in our last event of October which will be an Instagram Hop, so come and join us for a chance to win! We're kicking off the hop on Halloween Night. Details will be shared in our Facebook Group ahead of the event.
