Lili of the Valley ~ Sweet Autumn Girls

Hey friends, I've had some images on my desk waiting for me to find time to colour which I happily did this week. These are from the most recent release at Lili of the Valley. This set features some super cute Autumn Girls and I am working my way through colouring up a few. So I'll be back with another post soon.

I think this image is just adorable! I was tip to tip colouring and noticed a flick of colour landed right above her lip, but didn't try to correct it, because it reminded me of a beauty spot, so just left it. Funny how mistakes can turn into happy accidents, I think it adds character.

I've used an 'off-cut' frame, from a card I made previously. This beautiful iridescent cardstock was too beautiful to bin, so I kept it to use a frame on a future card and pulled it out to complete this one. I love the Autumnal hues that shift and move on this cardstock and thought it was a nice fit for this make. I also had a Mica panel I'd created a while back, which had beautiful purple hues through it, which picked up on her dress. So I made that the matt layer behind the image. I'll give my best guess at the Mica Stains I used and link them below, but it will be a guess, as I have lots and it was a while back I created this panel.

I coloured this image with Copic Markers and I did actually film the colouring, but I'm yet to edit. So I'll add that for anyone who likes to watch colouring videos when I've edited the footage. The simple but perfect sentiment comes from a Tim Holtz Stencil and Stamp set called Mixed Media 27 from the Tim Holtz set by Stampers Anonymous. It was on my desk and I was hunting for a plain sentiment to finish off this design and spotted that. Perfect I think! The notched corner frame die is from Whimsy Stamps and gave a lovely little bit of extra interest to the image panel. I completed the image with touches of Sparkle Gelly Roll pen to the scarf and leaves. I added some gems to add a little bit of extra sparkle from a Buttons Galore and More Jewelz Collection.
Lili of the Valley has this newer release out right now full of gorgeous Autumn images, be sure to check that out over in their Lili of the Valley Etsy Store. I hope to be back with something else from that release very soon, until then, have a beautiful day friends. Hugs, Wends xoxo
