Whimsy Stamps ~ Bless Yer Heart

Hey friends, I'm popping in with a cute card that I made with a gorgeous Valentine's Day or Anti-Valentine's Day Stamp Set from Whimsy as the case may be. This set has a few cheeky sentiments that can be used to create a tongue in cheek card for a friend who might not enjoy Valentine's Day. But I have used some of the cute images to make a thank you card for a friend after a kindness shown. I know the diecut sentiment can be said tongue in cheek too, but I actually mean it genuinely, as a thank you to this friend for their thoughtfulness.

I stamped the background for this card with a small acrylic block and two inks. I used Lumberjack Plaid Oxide Ink for the red and VersaFine Clair Nocturne for the black. I just stamped randomly all over the background and then trimmed the height of the panel down from the A2 size I stamped on, to allow a little red strip to show top and bottom when mounted on the red card base. I diecut the sentiment from red cardstock three times and glued them together for a bit of dimension and interest. I glued the stacked sentiment directly to the inked panel and that was the card done. Very CAS but I think lovely and full of gratitude and love.

Thanks for popping in to visit today. I'll be back soon with another crafty adventure and I can't wait to share it! I made it with one of the images from the latest release, but didn't realise until I was done, that I'd used sentiments from the February release, which won't go live until the 15th, so I've had to sit on my hands and not share that quite yet. Wishing you a fabulous and creative week. Hugs, Wends xoxo

I do use affiliate links where possible, which gives me a tiny commission but costs you no extra whatsoever, though more importantly it helps the companies I design for to improve their marketing practice and track my contributions. I am deeply grateful if you use them for these reasons. I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)

What a fabulous thank you card Wends - loving your background, and that sentiment is such a fun one, that can be used with both genuine intent, or tongue in cheek.
