Whimsy Stamps ~ Love for a Friend

Hello crafty friends, I'm popping in with a card I've made for a crafty friend who's going through some tough stuff right now. I wanted to send them a little love and support and a reminder to take the time they need to focus on themself and to heal and recover.

The sentiment I've used with the heart is a cute but curly font, so not super easy to read in the pics. It says, 'Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is just relax'. A gentle message for a friend who is used to taking care of everyone else, to slow down and take time for her own healing journey.

I used a gorgeous heart die from Whimsy, which I've layered up several times for dimension and topped with a lovely shimmery top layer in red cardstock. The other layers were also red cardstock, but not shimmery. This is a beautiful cardstock which I'm running out of and was one I picked up at the Ally Pally Craft Fair back in my London Days, so I'm sad to be running out of it. Still a little left though. The gorgeous patterned paper is from Whimsy's Calico Paper Pack. This set has lots of gorgeous ditsy florals in it.

I decorated the inside of the card as well, because I couldn't fit all I wanted to say to this lovely pal on the cover! I pulled a gorgeous older stamp set from my stash, which was until recently in our retiring section at Whimsy, but has now sadly sold out. There are a few other sets featuring these sweet bunnies which I also adore, so if you like these sweet images, be sure to visit the Retiring Section of the Whimsy Store.

The Whimsy Team have put together a gorgeous collection of makes to showcase the latest release, here are a few of them above and I'll be back soon with one I've made with the latest release. Until then, I send you wishes for a wonderful week. I'm in isolation having come down with Covid on Valentine's Day! Which is no fun, but I'm hanging in there. Unbuggy hugs to you all, Wends xoxo

NB: The sweet stamp set I used for the inside of the card, has now retired from the Whimsy Store, as has the die set I used to cut the square shape of the card. There is a huge retiring sale going on right now at Whimsy, so do check if your favourites are in there, the discounts are fantastic! I have linked the retired items to the UK reseller Dies to Die For, who still have these in stock. Other local resellers may too.

(I've added thumbnails to make your shopping easier if you like any of the elements I've created with. I do use affiliate links where possible, which gives me a tiny commission but costs you no extra whatsoever, though more importantly it helps the companies I design for to improve their marketing practice and track my contributions. I am deeply grateful if you use them for these reasons. I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)
