Whimsy Stamps ~ Dino-Might
Hey crafty friends, my recovery from Covid is going well, I got a negative test back yesterday, so I'm now finally out of isolation. The good news is, the isolation seems to have worked well and neither my hubby or youngest son have come down with it, which is just as well as it's not been as 'mild' as some have experienced. I still have earache and a sore throat today, so I'm really hoping the negative test means I'm no longer a risk to the boys, because I've SO had enough of being in isolation! But apart from running very low on energy, I cannot complain too much and I'm through the other side now and grateful for that!
This card was made with the latest release before I fell sick. I had fun creating a soft inky background with some watercolour paper and distress inks. I just wanted a soft wash of colour in the background for interest, nothing that would take over too much and I love how it ended up.
I stamped the cute image once the background was dry in Gina K Amalgam ink as I wasn't sure at this stage, which medium I wanted to use. I had some old watercolour tubes which were handed down to me when my eldest was having a clear up. I ended up binning them after this as most had turned rock solid in the tubes, they'd been a gift and were not great quality paints, so it wasn't hard to let them go. I'm still trying to find my Gansai Tambi since I last used them. They're either still in a packing box or I've put them somewhere 'safe', which is code for 'I've forgotten where I put them!'
I added some detail to the image with some metallic pens I have in my stash and some glitter pen to the cherries to add a little highlight, sparkle and interest. I then stamped a fun greeting on this card which is from the 'Kiss Off' stamp set and I used a dark Pinecone ink for this to hint at that chocolatey goodness. I used a scalloped border from a fun coverplate set in my stash. This is a cool set but fabulous that the two elements are seperate from each other, so it's possible to use the scallop alone, Whimsy always thinks those sorts of things through so well. I mounted the image panel on foam and added it to an A2 panel of Concord and 9th Nutmeg cardstock then onto a landscape fold A2 white cardbase.
The Whimsy Team have put together a gorgeous collection of makes to showcase this latest release, here are a few of them above and I'll be back soon with another make before the end of the month. I'm still catching my breath and pacing myself post Covid, so will see what the creative energy brings, if I have any! Until then, I send you wishes for a wonderful week. Unbuggy hugs to you all, Wends xoxo

(I've added thumbnails to make your shopping easier if you like any of the elements I've created with. I do use affiliate links where possible, which gives me a tiny commission but costs you no extra whatsoever, though more importantly it helps the companies I design for to improve their marketing practice and track my contributions. I am deeply grateful if you use them for these reasons. I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)

So sorry to hear you have had covid - it's a nasty wee bug that seems to affect differently each time it 'hits', and good to hear that the men in the household were not infected.
