Whimsy Stamps ~ A Monster with Two Eds!

Cryptic title, but it makes sense when you know how many hours of footage there were before we edited the video for this make! It was a total monster to edit. Happily with hubby's help we've edited down the footage to a manageable watch! I covered all the details of these creations in the 'design chat' at the beginning of the video, so I hope you'll go there for a look at the details if you enjoy these makes!

The striking Chartreuse cardstock is from Cardstock Warehouse's Colorplan series of paper and it's just gorgeous and so fun for these Halloween creations. I love these amazing 'Edward Scissorhands' designs from Whimsy Stamps, they are such fun and I really enjoyed making these cards.

My camera switched off when I was doing the stencilling of this awesome harlequin background, so there's no footage of this in the video, but there's pretty much the entire make of the other card. I used Distress Texture Paste Opaque Black to create that cool harlequin background. I used the section of the stencil with the distressed finish. I love the edgy grungy feel it gives this card. That gorgeous Thorny Frame is a showstopper and was so perfect to sit this bust of Edward in. I love how this card came together! I've used electric blue Copic colours in his hair for a bit of a lift and pop of colour. I show these in the video.

This amazing Chunky Checkers frame was beyond perfect for this design. The surreal look of the paper and that wistful Edward, it all just fit together and worked together so perfectly! I used the Stardream Onyx Cardstock from Cardstock Warehouse for the card base on the harlequin background card and I used it again to diecut the frame for this card. The frame that was cut from the patterned paper I adhered down to the card base first, then covered it over with the black to create a little dimension in the frame. I pieced all the black sections back in place then adhered the coloured sections over top. I really love the finished look of this piece. I completed the card with some gems in colours that matched the background. I stamped the image in VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink then used some Zig Real Brush Markers to add details.

I'm still learning with this whole video malarkey, but starting to find my feet a bit better with it. I hope you enjoy the step through these two creations and I'll be doing some more videos soon, now that the crazy rush of this Halloween season is starting to ease. It's been a very full on few months! But I love it!! Thanks for your indulgence of my Halloween makes during this time. They do rather take over my feed for a time! It'll all be about Christmas very soon, but I've a few more Halloween makes yet to share.

I do use affiliate links where possible, although some of my affiliate links are not currently working due to changes in the affiliate platforms. I share my links mainly to help you find elements you may also enjoy crafting with. I am proud to design for the companies I do and always feel happy to share where my inspiration and where my crafty stash comes from. I am occasionally gifted products to use, but I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.
