Back at last...

I popped up my last post in rather a hurry, but it had been a while between posts before that. It's the heart of Winter here in New Zealand and my Georgie is off school for her Winter break. So I've been busy entertaining the kiddos. I also hurt my back trying to sort some more boxes from our move from the UK back to New Zealand, which putting it mildly was pretty sucky. This combined with the 13th anniversary of my Papa's passing, put me in a melancholic state. But I've just come back from a few days up North at my family's Summer house (we call them bachs in New Zealand) on the beautiful beach which is part of my Grandpa's farm land. No hint of Winter up there, it was really mild and lovely clear sunny days, so I'm feeling rejuvenated and much happier. The back pain is settling, though not gone completely, it's now oodles better and totally bearable.

I went up North (four hours drive North of Auckland city) with my mummy and my two kiddos. It was Zac's first time at our family beach and he loved it. Georgie even more so, as she was old enough now to have a little freedom there. She loved it to bits and had a blast with some other cousins that were there too in their Summer house. So a good time was had by all. Plus I got to put some flowers on my Papa's grave, which helped that heart ache a little too. My Georgie was really moved by that. I've just had my in-laws here too, so it's been a busy few days since we arrived back from up North. Lovely days spent with Greg's folks, but I now have to tackle the unpacking from our days away and washing from their visit. I'll pop a card up soon, promise! But first, here's a few pics of our lil' adventure. Mwah x

Finally, my Georgie, braving the Winter waters. She was soooooooo keen!

Thanks for popping in for a visit. Sorry there's no card on this occasion. But hopefully you enjoyed having a peek at our holiday pics and seeing our little corner of Paradise. Come back soon. Hugs, Wends x

Oh what a beautiful beach Wendy! And it looks like an amazing place for the little ones to spend their vacation.

Some people are so amazing and touch us so deeply that we are always going to miss them, no matter how many years pass. It just shows what a great man your Grandpa was.

Big hugs
