Dream Valley - Christmas
Can you believe how close Christmas is now?! I'm doing a little panic as I count up the cards I've yet to post. It's time now for our last challenge of the year at Dream Valley and we have a really big line up of wonderful sponsors this challenge. They've all been generous and fabulous sponsors this year and we are grateful to them all for helping us make this a truly fantastic and successful challenge.
We are being sponsored by Robyn's Fetish, Freckled Fawn, Paper Shelter, Kenny K, Crafty Sentiments, My Mum's Craft Shop, Lacy Sunshine Stamps and Dilly Beans Stamps. Thank you all, for being amazing sponsors this past year.
So what you may ask is our theme this challenge? You really don't have to ask, it's 'Christmas' of course. Bring out all your fabulous Christmas makes and share them with us for our month long end of year challenge at Dream Valley.
For my card, I've used two lovely Stampendous stamps. You can find some of the Stampendous range at My Mum's Craft Shop. I really like these wee Angels, they're so so cute! The stamp is called Angel Kisses. I had kept it really CAS initially, but I think the sentiment stamp just finishes off that Christmassy feel.
I've used a lovely Cherry Plaid paper in pink and lime which is from The Hobby House. I've had the pretty pink grosgrain ribbon in my stash for ages, but never had the right pink and lime combo for it to fit with before, so I was really pleased to use it on this card. I've used foam behind the image for a bit of depth and dimension and cut the pink frame with a Spellbinders Nestabilities die. The image was coloured with Promarkers and Stickles added to the furry bits. I've used glossy accents on the berries and for the snow I used White Opal Liquid Pearls. I've sent this to one of my blog buddies in the UK, so I hope this reaches her before she sees this!
Thanks for popping in today. This will be my last post as a Dream Valley design team member. I have only a few months left before my small boy starts school, and I've been struggling to juggle all the balls. So with a heavy heart, I am stepping down from the design team. It's been a wild ride ladies, thanks for having me! Do come and join in our last Dream Valley challenge of the year. You have a whole month to get your entries in! Check out what my awesomely talented team mates have been up to this challenge too on the Dream Valley blog. I'll see you all again soon but in the meantime, I wish you all a blessed Christmas surrounded by those you love. Hugs, Wends x
