Check me out, I've done several posts this week! I can't quite believe it when I've been so busy with the kiddies end of year celebrations. Here in New Zealand, the school year follows the calendar year, so our kiddies are finishing up their class work, getting their school reports and putting on Christmas Variety shows. It's been a whirlwind week. But I did manage (albeit last minute) to find a moment to put together this card for our new challenge at Sweet Stampin' this week.
We are super spoilt to have been given some gorgeous images to work with from All Dressed Up Stamps, who are our sponsors for this challenge. I merged the sweet image I was given to work with, with another of their gorgeous images for my DT creation. The first image is called Christmas Post and the second image is one of three girls from a set of images called Three Little Autumn Girls. I merged them in Word and printed them on A5 paper, so that I could easily make up a long CAS style card.
I've gone for a really CAS design for this creation and I knew I wanted to do this even before I was pressed for time. I wanted the two merged images to be the focus and I've had a pretty Spellbinders border die in my collection for quite some time, that I just don't use enough. So I thought I'd make it a very CAS design for this one. A bit of ribbon, some time spent with the Promarkers getting the shading right (okay it's not perfect, but I try) a bit of glitter and a sweet sentiment from Lili of the Valley's A5 Verses set and my card was done.
I look forward to seeing what you'll come up with for our challenge this week. The theme for the challenge is 'It's Snow Time'. So we'd love to see all your snowy, snowflake makes this week. Remember you need to 'stamp' on your card to have a shot at our lovely prize please. This week our lovely sponsors All Dressed Up are offering a generous digital stamps prize. So get your ink out and come join the fun!
I'll be back again soon with another crafty adventure, in the meantime, I hope your Christmas prep is going well. I'm grateful for all the DT Christmas creations I've made this year, it's really added to my preparations. This is one more to add to the pile! Now to send them all out. Huge hugs, Wends xxx
