Sweet Stampin' ~ Chinese New Year ~ Year of the Pig!

Hey my lovely crafty pals. I have a cute share for you tonight. We are celebrating Chinese New Year at Sweet Stampin' and it is of course 'The Year of the Pig', which is MY year! So even though, it's not actually my week to post, I'm joining in with the Team Susan sweeties for a bit of Chinese New Year Fun!

My mummy and her twin have just celebrated their birthday and I wanted to create a special card for my very special auntie. She LOVES piggies, she has quite the collection now. So I've made her a couple of piggy cards in the past. You can take a peek at these older makes here and here. I couldn't resist this sweet wee piggy by Conie Fong for this years celebration. How cute is that wee face?!

I coloured this adorable piggy with my Copic Markers and added a touch of Wink of Stella to the trim on the party hat. I think this looks so sweet when it catches the light! I finished the card design with a simple wrap of red organza ribbon and tied it into a double bow. Very CAS design, but I really like it. The papers just worked so well with this sweet image and his wee party hat. I used the colours from the paper to colour up the hat and I think it looks really sweet.

Both the papers I used on this card are from the lovely American Crafts paper pad 'Everyday'. I think the ditsy flowers and spots work so nicely together on this card and I really love this paper pad. You may recognise the chevron paper in that pack as the one I used for this recent make. It's got such a great range of papers!
