Whimsy Stamps ~ Spotlight on Papers

Hey there my lovely crafty pals. I hope your week is going well. I am sharing my last Whimsy Stamps creation for May today in an effort to get caught up. I've been having fun with inky backgrounds and playing with papers today.

We have so many beautiful papers at Whimsy Stamps, both physical and digital, so I decided to have a play with some different paper options with this sweet Celtic Fairy image from Crissy Armstrong. I'm curious to see which is your favourite paper combo with this sweet image?!

I started out by combining the image with a beautiful floral paper that I've been looking for the right image to combine with ever since I got these papers. It's so pretty, but most images compete too much with it. This image however, had similar enough and simple enough colours to work quite well I think. This lovely floral paper is from the Fabulous Florals Paper Pack designed by Deb Davis.

The second paper I tried, is a beautiful bubbly paper from the fabulous Otters digital paper set designed by Denise Lynn and Deb Davis. This set has some cute little otter feet papers and a mix of gorgeous green and blue papers in heart, bubble and stripe combos. I really like this as a backing paper for this image. The colours work perfectly.

Another digital paper I tried comes from a very pretty set called Natures Beauty created by the very talented Jennifer Dove. I think this too, is a pretty background for this stamp, it's a little softer than the other papers, so really let's the image shine. The colour combo again, is a great fit.

The lovely heart paper I've used for this version comes from the Festive Desert Paper Pack designed by Deb Davis and Denise Lynn. This has lots of really wonderful paper designs with a fun Aztec feel. There are some super cute cactus papers in this set too!

Whimsy Stamps has an amazing selection of papers, Digital, Physical and now Slimline Paper Sets too! If you've not seen the range, be sure to stop by for a look! I love the physical papers, they're lovely to work with, a great heavy weight finish, beautifully printed and lovely designs. But you know I'm a digital girl and find the digital range absolutely brilliant for convenience. So I like to have a little of both on hand. My new favourites are of course the Slimline papers. They've come out with a range of the most amazing scenic designs, which are so fun for creating quick and beautiful slimline scenes.
