Whimsy Stamps ~ Sweet Lazy Sunday Afternoons

Hey there crafty pals. I'm back today with a cute creation I made with the some of the images from our latest release at Whimsy Stamps. I have really loved Some Odd Girl images for some years now and was so pleased when the range joined our Whimsy Stamps Digital Vault. I'm excited to see what comes out each month. I couldn't resist putting this sweet pair together for a cute scene this month.

I've used the little Clover Fairy and Daisy Fairy to create this scene. I added the wonderful wooden stump from our Polka Dot Pals Collection and that sweet bunny is also from Polka Dot Pals. Available as digital scenes or as clear stamp elements, there are so many possibilities with these fabulous elements.

I've coloured this scene with my Copic Markers and kept the card design very simple, not just because I wanted to let the scene take centre stage, but also because most of my craft room is boxed up while we wait on getting our downstairs carpet replaced. It's a slow process that we started clearing for right before my Gallbladder operation, so recovery and other life events have slowed things down. But I'm looking forward to it being done, because it's really tricky to craft when half your stash is out of reach! It is making me think of simpler ideas however and I really love how this one turned out. Thank goodness my Copics live in a bag I can tote around! The lovely die I used to cut the image is an older one from Whimsy now out of stock, but I just love this for adding a bit of interest to an otherwise quite simple design. The little heart cutouts are so cute. I added them back in again however, as the paper underneath was all different angles of the white and pink backing paper, so looked better with them popped back into place. I've kept a few of my favourite dies handy and this week, I can still reach my die-cutting machine. Next week however, might be a different story! Hehe.

Thanks for popping in to visit today, I hope you've been inspired by what you've seen. I'd love to know if you create with any of these elements. It's always fun to see how another crafting interprets an image or elements you've used. There's such an inspiring crafty community out there! If you ever need a little mojo top up, be sure to stop by our Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Blog, the DT are a crazy talented bunch and there's always so many wonderful ideas to boost the ole' mojo. The other place it's well worth a visit, is our wonderful Youtube team of designers. You can check out their fabulous tutorials here. I'll be back soon with another crafty adventure, I wish you a wonderful week ahead and enjoy the rest of your weekend. Hugs and happy crafting xoxo
