Lili of the Valley ~ Santa's On His Way
Hey crafty friends, I'm popping in today with the first of my Lili of the Valley makes since joining their design team. I must confess I was pretty made up when I got the message I'd made the team! Lili of the Valley were some of the very first stamps I bought, if I recall correctly, my very first wood block stamp, which was a little fairy. So I'm excited to be working with this enchanting range now and look forward to sharing my creative adventures with you.
This Santa image is part of a set which is now available in the LOTV Etsy Store as of today. The set is super cute, it has Reindeer, this adorable Santa, some Christmas Trees in a couple of sizes, a Gingerbread House, a cute elf and other little elements to accompany these images. It's a great set and comes as an UK A5 sized photopolymer stamp set.
The adorable images are easy to colour up and so very sweet in true Lili of the Valley style. They can be used for all sorts of Christmas themed items. They'd be lovely on gift tags or cards and could be cute on memory books and albums too. I used my Copic Markers to add colour to this sweet Santa and to the sentiment label. I added a couple of strips of cardstock behind the label so it sat up slightly off the base and then finished it off with two little Hardware Heads from a Tim Holtz Idea-ology Set.
This Santa is the perfect size for an Action Wobble. I added one behind him and he's going to be a big hit with the younger kids at Christmas time! If you'd like to see the wobble in action, hop on over to my IG account for the reel I created showing this. I added a bit of texture behind him with a lovely embossing folder from Sizzix, which I thought could be interpreted as a snowy feel. It's not strictly speaking a Wintery or snowy embossing folder but those shapes made me think of snow. I ran it through a second time for a deeper emboss and didn't line it up 100%, but I didn't mind the 'ghosting' of the shapes, I think it still works fine. The embossing folder is a Multi-Level Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from Sizzix called Abstract Rounds and that lovely paper is from Concord and 9th which I have from a mixed set of cardstock, but it's their Aqua Sky paper, which can also be bought as a set of that colour exclusively. It's pretty enough that I'm considering it!
Thanks for stopping in today friends. I hope you enjoyed seeing my first design for Lili of the Valley. I'm so happy to be designing for them after years of loving their sweet images. I have so many in my stash, it will be a joy to work through them. Please do check out what the rest of my talented team mates created with these sweet images, they have designed some truly enchanting creations! You can see their designs shared in the We Love Lili of the Valley Group. If you're not signed up there and love these images, do consider joining. It's a lovely group of crafters who enjoy sharing their Lili of the Valley themed creations. I will be back soon with another crafty adventure. In the meantime I wish you a wonderful and creative week. Hugs, Wends xoxo
(I share thumbnails to the elements I design with in order to make your search for them easier, in case you like something I've used. I do use affiliate links where possible, which gives me a tiny commission but costs you no extra whatsoever. It helps the companies I design for to improve their marketing practice and track my contributions. I am deeply grateful if you use them for these reasons. I am proud to design for the companies I do and always feel happy to share where my inspiration and where my crafty stash comes from. I am occasionally gifted products to use, but I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)
