A Wee Cutie
Here in New Zealand we certainly are having May showers, but not to bring Spring flowers! Autumn has set in with a vengeance after our long hot beautiful Summer. But this image had me dreaming of warm Spring days and my colours were inspired by this. I had such fun colouring up this sweet stamp from Sylvia Zet of Wee Stamps. It's such a sweet and enchanting image as are all her beautiful images. I have coloured the image with a mix of my Promarkers and Flexmarkers and added a hint of Georgie's Fairy Dust to her lil' wings as I still haven't found my glitter yet! The unpacking of the boxes is going steadily, but there's a few bits of crafty kit still to reveal itself. I'm just so excited to uncover what I have, I'm spending too much time playing at my craft desk and not enough unpacking the next lot of boxes!
I have been enjoying playing along with the 2 Sisters Challenge blog and took inspiration for this card from their current bingo challenge. I think I've nailed every element on the bingo board except the easel card! I'll put details of this challenge at the end of my post.
I've edged the large white flower in New Sprout Memento Dew Drop ink and the image and green paper mat the same. The two pink mats I edged with Angel Pink Memento Dew Drop ink. I had some Sizzix die cut swirls in a complimentary coloured paper knocking around in my stash, so used those to add a little interest to the blooms. All the pretty blooms are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment came with the paper set that the green woven fabric paper came from. I'm not sure where this is from, I think it was with one of my scrapbooking magazines as a paper freebie. I'll have to hunt out those details. But I thought the words were perfect for this sweet image. The lovely felt lace and green ribbon have been in my stash so long I don't recall where they're from. I've used my new Quickutz photo corner die again. I'm just loving this lil' die. It's so teeny, yet can really make a big difference to the finish on a card! It's getting so much use right now, is definitely my favourite die at the minute. There's a new Challenge blog that's just kicked off headed up by one of my crafty blog pals, which is looking for 'Favourite Dies', so I'm entering this card in that 'As You Like It' challenge. Here's a closer look at the die and Sylvia's sweet image.
Now here's a closeup of the pretty butterfly and gems. These were part of the gorgeous gift my baby sister sent over from America for Christmas before I left the UK. They were a perfect fit for this card.
I hope you're all enjoying the season's change, whatever that brings you. Thanks for stopping by my blog, I love it when you pop in. Make sure you leave me a comment so I can come pay you a visit in return.
Hugs, Wends xxx
