A Day For Dreaming
I had one of my best buddies from England visit us here in New Zealand a short while ago. She has two gorgeous lil' girls and it meant the world to us that they were able to visit so soon after we moved back to New Zealand. I made up this card as a thank you for that special time shared with us. I found this utterly perfect image from A Day For Daisies and knew right away it was the one I wanted to use.
I put the sentiment on the inside of the card, as it was quite a long one, but the wording was specially chosen for this dear friend and so it needed it's own little stage. The sentiment stamp is a beautiful one from Inkylicious which I bought through the lovely Joanna Sheen. Her site is fabulous for overseas buyers as she doesn't charge postage under a certain weight. Fabulous!

I used a really pretty skyline paper to be the view that the three are dreamily looking out to, but it has sadly not shown up that well here. The image was fussy cut and added on top. You can view the actual page here from Bearly Mine. It's the fourth page down on the blogpost and Donna is so generous - it's free! Check out her lovely digital papers, there are some fabulous digital paper packs and quite a number of individual papers too, many free for us to try. It's well worth a visit to her site.

The scrumptious background paper is none other than Maja Design. My all time favourite papers from my all time favourite store - Live and Love Crafts! This page is from their Vintage Spring Basics set and is called '6th of April'. Okay, there are lots of papers I love, but these are delish! So much so, I break into a cold sweat when I have to cut them! I just want to keep the pretty pages. But a special pal gets special paper.
This angle shows the glitter accents in her hair the best.
The lovely lace and seam binding ribbon is from Wild Orchid Crafts. I love these guys! I ordered a bunch of flowers a few days ago and bearing in mind they have to make it all the way to New Zealand! They arrived in record time, perfectly and expertly wrapped, so much so, that despite the cardboard box almost disintegrating as it got so wet in a heavy Auckland rainstorm, the contents was perfectly dry and perfectly preserved. Chuffed to bits to say the least!
The sweet puffy clouds are from a Memory Box die, which I cut from a white paper with a lovely sheen and then glittered the edge of each cloud gently to add that 'silver lining'. Finally I added a small shell which I have had in my stash a while, it's had the back cut off to be used as a button, so was easy to adhere to the ribbon with a little pinflair glue. I added some small pearls to each corner and as is my way, keeping the card very CAS, that was it.

Well that's all I've got for today. Thanks for popping in to see me. I hope you have a fabulous day and pop in again soon. I'll have more crafty makes to show you real soon. Hugs, Wends x
