Woohoo it's Christmas time again. Well at least for the next week at Fab 'n' Funky. Come on over and join our monthly Christmas Challenge which is being sponsored by 'My Creative Classroom'. Anything Goes as long as it's Christmassy! How great is that?! I'm getting quite a little collection of cards ready this year. I've chosen to use an enchanting Sugar Nellie Christmas image from Funky Kits for my DT card. It's from their Winter Wonderland collection for Sugar Nellie and is called 'Little Helpers'. How dang cute are these wee critters with Santa?!
My card design is really CAS as it's such a busy stamp, with loads to draw the eye in, I didn't want to swamp it with a fussy card design. So I've cut the image out with my Lil' Inkers stitched square die and run a very simple strip of designer paper behind it in a fun harlequin design. I edged the image and designer paper with distress ink. I used my Promarkers to colour the image and added a little Stickles glitter glue here and there, plus some glossy accents on the little candy cane. This joyful little scene was a real pleasure to colour. The sentiment is from Molly Blooms, but don't look too closely, my aim was a bit wonky on this one!
Update: I WON the Divas By Design Challenge! Woop woop.
There's not much else to say about my card. I hope you'll come over to Fab 'n' Funky and join in our Christmas Challenge. It's such a great way to get ahead for the Christmas period! I'm really enjoying the little bursts of Christmas joy each month. It helps that it's the heart of Winter here in New Zealand and crispy cold. So feels a little more authentic after 13 years of Christmas in London!
Well, my pillow is calling, so I'm off to bed now. Wintery Kiwi hugs to you all, Wends x

Divas By Design: Favourite Stamp - LOVE Sugar Nellie stamps - they're so enchanting. This recent Xmas stamp is a new love and I know will be a feature of Xmas cards this year.As You Like It Challenge: Favourite Die & Why - I LOVE these stitched border dies. I think machine stitching looks so fabulous on cards, but don't always have time to get my machine out, so for me, these Lil' Inkers stitched edge dies are fantastic! I like the MFT ones too, but the Lil' Inkers are my fav's.
