Dream Valley - Lace & Ribbon

It's time again for a new Dream Valley challenge. This time we want to see creations with ribbon and lace on them. Love this! Right up my street. Grab your lace and ribbon and come and have a play with our challenge this fortnight. Here's what I came up with.

This image is one of the gorgeous Sugar Nellie fairies from their 'Return to Fairy Glen' collection. This image is called Dreams & Wishes and is available both as a rubber stamp and in digital format. I love these gorgeous fairy images, the whole range is enchanting. Do pop over to visit Funky Kits to see the whole collection.

I coloured this fairy first as a blonde, but then decided this card was destined for a wee friend of my son Zac, who was having her 5th birthday. She has the most beautiful copper red hair, so I coloured over the blonde hair in warm copper tones using my Promarkers. I popped on a number 5, cut from my fabulous Marianne Designs number dies which I gave a little texture to using a Quickutz Goosebumpz Swirl embossing folder. The edge of the card I gave a little interest to by running a border punch along it.

I've used a lovely shimmery cardstock to cut the mat for the image and the mushroom and butterfly details. I also used a pretty summer blossoms embossing folder to add a little interest to the purple backing paper which you can just see if you look closely. I'm back to Jak Heath's double bow again for the organza ribbon and I chose a pretty cotton lavender lace which I got from one of my UK crafty pals.

Thanks for popping in today. I hope you'll head on over to the Dream Valley challenge and see what all my fabulous team mates have been up to. We are having a DT call with this challenge too, so if you fancy being a part of our fun design team, pop your hat in the ring! Have an awesome week, mine is gearing up to be busy, busy, busy. Big hugs, Wends x
