Fab 'n' Funky - 3 Embellishments

Time is whizzing by this year. Already we are into November! I can't quite believe it!! But it's time again for a new Fab 'n' Funky challenge and we are being sponsored by the wonderful Little Miss Muffet stamps this time. They have some super cute options and the DT were given some lovely stamps to play with. I used a fabulous one I've had in my collection a while and for a change, it's a boy make! This cutie is from their Swings and Slides Collection from Pollycraft and is called Spring Morning.

Our theme this challenge is to use 3 embellishments. That throws it wide open doesn't it?! They don't have to be three of the same thing, in fact, what Beccy wants to see is 3 different embellishments. I don't do 'fussy' on my boy makes, so I kept it really simple, a lil' die-cut fence, a denim pocket to hold the sentiment and the sentiment insert. Sweet and simple. With a bit of stitching to tie in the denim theme.

The die-cut lovely fence is a Magnolia Doohickey. I love this one with it's lil' inset hearts, I think it's so perfect for 'white picket fence' makes. I inked the edges slightly and added a bit of green ink to the image edge too. I've used my Promarkers as always to colour in the image and the papers are an old Joanna Sheen paper block called Haberdashery Backing Papers. It's no longer available through Joanna Sheen, but I found it recently here at Bluebell Girl's Papercrafts. 

   

The denim pocket and sentiment tag are part of the paper set. It was a really fab set of papers, with both floral girly papers and masculine denim and plaid papers too. They worked really well for this wee boys birthday card. The green paper behind the image I cut from an old calendar from My Mind's Eye using papers from their Bloom & Grow range by Zoe Pearn. The calendar came free with a magazine years ago and I really loved the papers, so when I'd used up the calendar, I cut them where I could to use again on crafty makes. I do love to recycle!
