Fab 'n' Funky - Lots of Layers
Did you get any good April fools jokes this morning? I played some awesome pranks on the kids, but I swear someone has sped up time this year! The ultimate April Fools. Oh my goodness, where is this year going?!! Time is just rocketing past for me this year. My big girl has just turned 10 years old and soon my baby will be 5! They grow so fast. It takes my breath away.
Now, It's time for a new challenge at Fab 'n' Funky and this week we're being sponsored by the lovely 'Di's Digis' with their sweet images. The lovely Jools is hosting our challenge this week and she's chosen 'Lots of Layers' as our theme. So I'm sharing my daughter's birthday card which I made using a really fab Tiddly Inks image called Wryn & Mo - Love You Most and some delish Michele Roos Papers.
Georgie is really into wolves at the moment, so I managed to work a 'wolf' into her birthday card. Love the way this came out. I know it's meant to be a fox, but just work with me here. I used warm greys from my Promarkers to turn this wee fox into a wolf and I think he looks rather fab.

I used a fab new set of dies for this card which I bought from Simon Says Stamp from a win I had recently. I just love this stitched die set. So many fab bits to it. I used several on this card. The little tag shape, the centre of the flower, the fishtail tab and the stitched rectangle all found their way onto my card. The butterflies were cut from some delish Michele Roos Butterflies & Hummingbirds papers and their wings bent up to make them look like they are in flight. The little parcel is from stash and the glittery paper flower was a gift two Christmases back from my baby sister. Several layers, but still quite a simple card. My style really.
I hope you enjoyed seeing what I created for our 'Lots of Layers' challenge and for my baby girl. Can you believe I first stuck down a '9' when I was making this card? I realised my mistake while the glue was still wet thank goodness, but left a messy splodge in the middle of the '0'. I'm in denial I tell ya. My kiddos are growing up too dang fast!
I hope you'll come and join in our 'Lots of Layers' challenge and share your gorgeous creations with us. Check out the gorgeous stylings of my talented team-mates on the Fab 'n' Funky blog. I'm off to hang out with my hubby for a bit, there's a Poldark to be watched! Catch ya'll later. Hugs, Wends x
