Loves Rubberstamps ~ Sensational Sunday Blog Hop ~ Xmas Hamster

It's time for another Loves Rubberstamps weekly Sensational Sunday Blog Hop! The Design Team has been busy creating some gorgeous projects for your Inspiration. Click on each link in the Hop and leave a comment to be in with a chance of winning the mystery prize. If you get lost along the way, each stop will have a full list of links. One of the Design Team posts is the hop's Sensational Sunday Sweet Spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to be in a monthly draw for a $20 Loves Rubberstamps Gift Voucher! We will draw the winner of the Voucher the 1st Sunday of each month from all the comments left on the design team blogs! Remember, you have until 8:00 pm CST Saturday to leave your comments! So come hop along with us and be inspired to create.

I was playing with a cute stamp I bought some years ago from Wee Stamps and have never yet inked up. So I decided to pull out my Promarkers and some distress ink and have some fun. You can find this 'Wee' cutie here at the Loves Rubberstamps store and it's called Xmas Hamster. I took my colour cues from the paper I wanted to use, so went for a grungy finish as they were quite dark tones. But I think this wee hamster looks kinda styley in his dark red Christmas cape with its fluffy trim. I've used a Marvy Uchida Snow Pen for this fluffy edging.

Card Recipe:
Twine
Button
Tea Dye Ranger Distress Ink
Edge Ink: Tea Dye Distress Ink
Whimsy Stamps Xmas Hamster
Whimsy Stamps Corner Dies Set
Colouring Medium: Alcohol Markers
My clever teamies have some gorgeous creations to share with you tonight. They're such a talented crew, so go check out their makes and be inspired. You never know where the sweet spot will be! You should have arrived here to my blog from Rebecca Billard. Such a gorgeous creation this week. As You Like It: Your Favourite Book Inspiration ~ A favourite Christmas story I've read to my kiddies year upon year is 'The Night Before Christmas', we even have a 'Moshling' version! This sweet little guy totally reminds me of this poem. I know he's a hamster, but I did say 'reminds me', hehe. Are you reciting it now? ... not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse!

This is so sweet, I am just loving that image! The neutrals work so well with the traditional red and green palette, and your touch on snow on the santa jacket is brilliant! Love it. :)
