Sweet Stampin' - Bingo!

Hey there my lovely blog buddies. We have a new challenge starting up, over on the Sweet Stampin' challenge blog and we are having some fun with a 'Bingo' board. So many options, there's loads of scope for creativity. I had so many ideas when I saw this bingo board, but I was really drawn to using the orange, or the brown, or the orange, or the brown, okay, I couldn't decide, so I used them both! But my 'line' is the Emboss, Die-cut, Orange line, though I snuck in a flower too. If I had some brown pearls, I could have had a cross! LOL.

You have to go check out what my awesome teamies have done with this challenge, they have had some really fantastic ideas from this bingo board. You're sure to be inspired and we'd love to see what you'd do, so come join us this week for our Sweet Stampin' Bingo Challenge.

The papers I've used are really ancient but still utterly delish from an 8x8 First Edition paper stack called Summer Breeze. I love the glittered embossing on this paper, half the stack is embossed like this and they're really pretty papers. I've used orange Baker's Twine and diecut a flower using my Marianne Design Craftables Circle & Flower Stitch die. I also diecut the image with a Lil' Inker rectangle stitched mat die. I do love these sets, they cut beautifully. I added a strip of embossed cream cardstock behind the image for the second embossed element and for my finishing touch added a Wild Orchid Crafts orange rose over the diecut flower and twine. I'd only had twine originally, which I'd really liked, but my hubby and nephew thought it looked pants, so I added the diecut flower and WOC rose and they both thought it was a vast improvement. Hmm, not convinced, but I took their word for it.

The gorgeous stamp I've used is a Sugar Nellie stamp. Those who follow my blog closely will know I have a bit of a love affair with Sugar Nellie stamps, but I've not had much time to craft lately and not been able to pull out my Sugar Nellie stamps for quite a while, so it was fun to have a little play with my Distress Inks and this sweet image which is called Goosey Gander which you can find in both rubber and digital form here

Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is the fabulous Bunny Zoe's Crafts, so the lucky winner is in for a real treat. I love that store! I hope you'll come and join in our fun challenge this week and I'll be back again really soon with another crafty adventure. Big hugs, Wends x

As You Like It: Your Favourite Book Inspiration. Jemima Puddleduck from the Peter Rabbit Series - I love reading to my kiddies. We have a ritual bedtime story every night and when they were small Paddington Bear and The Peter Rabbit series were favourites. This sweet image reminds me of that story.
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Favourite Technique or Product - I'm loving Distress Ink right now. I've coloured this image in with Ranger Distress Ink and the patterned papers were edged with Tea Dye Distress Ink.

Update: I made Top 3 at the 'As You Like It' challenge. Thank you ladies, I'm honoured x
