Loves Rubberstamps ~ Sensational Sunday Blog Hop ~ Video Boy

It's time for another Loves Rubberstamps weekly Sensational Sunday Blog Hop! The Design Team has been busy creating some gorgeous projects for your Inspiration. Click on each link in the Hop and leave a comment to be in with a chance of winning the mystery prize. If you get lost along the way, each stop will have a full list of links. One of the Design Team posts is the hop's Sensational Sunday Sweet Spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to be in a monthly draw for a $20 Loves Rubberstamps Gift Voucher! We will draw the winner of the Voucher the 1st Sunday of each month from all the comments left on the design team blogs! Remember, you have until 8:00 pm CST Saturday to leave your comments! So come hop along with us and be inspired to create.

I made this card for our neighbours boy for his birthday. He and his brother are avid gamers so I knew this image would be a hit and sure enough he loved it. I've coloured the Mo Manning Video Boy image with alcohol ink in hues that would work with the papers. It's still my favourite colouring medium.

I used my Dienamics 'Blueprints 12' square die which I'd previously cut but not used for another project, to mat the image. So I took my colour prompt from this paper. Gladly I found a lovely 6x6 Teresa Collins paper in a complementary shade on my work desk, from the 'He Said, She Said' collection. The colour worked really well with the DCWV Shimmer Mat Stack paper.

I diecut a square for the inside writing panel and used a Tina Wenke for Stampavie sentiment stamp to put the greeting inside the card. Stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa Ink. The front sentiment is from a Kaisercraft set called 'Life Sentiments'.
