Hey there my lovely blog buddies. I have a new DT creation to share with you today for the Southern Girls Challenge which goes live this morning. We were going to be having a 'Texture' challenge this time around. But have decided to have a very rare 'Anything Goes' challenge. We don't do this often at Southern Girls, so it's a treat! We did want to see all your lumpy bumpy bits previously, but now you have carte blanche! Our sponsor this week is Ppinky Dolls who provided the DT with some lovely images to use for this challenge and I chose a cute Christmas themed stamp. Don't ya just love the lil' snowmen? It's called 'Lily with Snowsisters'.
I used glitter on the areas that the artist Chrishanthi shaded on the image other than Lily's face. I think it worked out quite well. The glitter hasn't shown up as well as I'd hoped in the pic, the light was fading, so not brilliant shots. You can see some of the details a wee bit better in the image below.
My texture, for this creation, was added through the ribbed cardstock I used for the base of the card, which has a lovely sheen to it, I then used a glitter cardstock to mat the image and added a double bow for real tactile texture. Of course, all the glitter I added to the image adds that final bit of texture. I've raised the image and pink glitter mat off the base cardstock with deep foam pads from a Teresa Collins Xyron Adhesive Kit.
The rest of the Southern Girlies from Team Lou, have been hard at work creating their own Texture themed Ppinky Doll creations, so pop on over to the Southern Girls blog and take a look at what they've created. While you're there, drink in the inspiration, and be sure to pop back with your own 'Texture' themed creation. We'd love to see what this inspires you to create! I'll be back again soon with my next crafty adventure, in the meantime, I wish you a fabulous creatively inspiring week. Hugs, Wends x
Update: So happy to have won a lovely prize from Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge. Thank you so much! I'm a happy wee girlie :)
