Fab 'n' Funky ~ Two or More Designer Papers
Hey there my lovely blogging pals. I am sneaking in tonight to share a DT make for Fab 'n' Funky. It's not my week, so shhh, don't let on! I just couldn't resist these gorgeous Lacy Sunshine stamps. I saw one that our lovely Alison chose, who is our hostess for this challenge and had to have a go too. Alison chose the theme 'Two or More Designer Papers'. Ya'll know how much I LOVE paper right? So I had to have a play along with this fab challenge. I'm my own worst enemy though, as I've had another busy week and no time to sit and play, so this was made in haste, but I LOVE how it came out.
We are spoilt to have the lovely Heather from Lacy Sunshine sponsoring us for this challenge and she generously gave the DT some images to work with. I spotted Alison's choice ~ Water Lily Enchantress ~ and thought it was so lovely, I really wanted to have a go colouring her up. Isn't she sweet? I've coloured her with Promarkers and went for a lovely fresh bright combo of greens for the lilypad. I wanted her to look like she was almost part of the lilypad, so I coloured her outfit in the same shades of green, just adding some Wink of Stella to her shoe to highlight that a little bit. I meant to add some glossy accents to the water droplets, and still will, but haven't in the pics. After a busy day with the kiddos (both finally back at school today after being poorly) we had a parent/teacher conference tonight followed by a physio appointment for Georgie, so I was racing to catch the light and get this photographed.
I recently bought some fabulous sentiment stamps from Unity Stamps and I knew this one would be a rather lovely pairing with this image. I have no one in mind for this creation right now (which is really unusual for me, I usually create specifically with someone in mind), so I'll tuck this one away for the 'right' person. It was just a fun chance to play and experiment and to colour all that gorgeous hair! I made a note of the Promarker colors I used for her hair, because I loved the strawberry blonde finish I got. So I snapped a pic, more for myself, but in case any of you are Promarker users and interested, here's the combo. I forgot to include the Ivory in the pic, which I added first all over, and then built the layers up from there.
