Sweet Stampin' ~ White on White
Well I'm getting the New Year off to a good crafty start with two posts in one week! It's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' and we have a lovely one for you this week. We are bringing you a White on White challenge. I think that really IS a challenge considering we are a 'stamping' blog! But I managed to work in some white embossing and the cutest lil' white polar bear you ever did see! So I'm feeling like a nailed it right now! LOL.
I am guilty of having a huge stash of dies, gorgeous dies, that I very rarely use, so I took this opportunity to pull out two very neglected Memory Box dies. I just love that lil' moon and stars die and I think this is the first time I have ever used it! I must do so again soon, as it really is sweet. The wee village die I think was perfect for this make too, so that was good to pull it out again after a long break.
That cutie patootie wee polar bear is from Some Odd Girl. I LOVE the way she draws animals! This little guy is simply irresistible. So when I was thinking about a White on White creation that had to include stamping, this lil' guy sprung to mind immediately. I used my blue grey Promarkers to add a little shading and definition to this wee guy.
The sentiment is a Lili of the Valley sentiment from one of their Christmas sets called Christmas Wishes. This set has a really nice mix of sentiments and styles too. A really good all rounder for Christmas creations. I chose a sentiment which I thought worked well with this sweet bear. I think he's kinda dreamy, so it resonated for me. I embossed the sentiment straight onto the background paper with Ranger Super Fine White Embossing Powder. I really would love to have made the sky a lovely inky blue and the sentiment would have stood out much better, but that wouldn't be white on white now would it?! So you just have to read the sentiment a little closer. In the right light, it's clearly visible.
This year Sweet Stampin' is becoming a Just For Fun Challenge. We have lost so many wonderful sponsors this past year with businesses closing down, so we have chosen to continue as a Just For Fun challenge, with entrants being recognised with a Top 3 pick each challenge. I have always thought this was the greatest honour for me personally so we're hoping our followers will continue to join in the challenges and enjoy stamping along with us. I'm off now to a late New Year party with some of our lovely pals tonight, so I'll catch you all again soon. Hugs, Wends xoxo
Update: I managed to take a better photo in the sunlight today, so here's an extra peek at this lil' cutie in better light.

Thanks for your query - we take it day by day - some are rougher than others as things seem to have taken a bit of a downhill slide this week, which includes more pain for DH :-(.
Blessings
