Sweet Stampin' ~ Masculine

Hello out there in the blogasphere. I hope you've been having a great week. So nice when the weekend rolls around isn't it?! Time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' to go live today and I'm here with my DT post for this. I made this card for a local pal who's a keen fisherman, when I say keen, I mean KEEN! He is the editor and chief of a New Zealand Fishing Magazine, and we've been privileged to have some of his catches passed on to us, yum! New Zealand waters Kingfish!! Delicious!! So when thinking of what to do for this Masculine themed challenge, I just knew this image was perfect, for HIM!! I paired it with a cheeky and fun sentiment from a Kraftin' Kimmie sentiment set. Leaving the rest pretty CAS. Just some lovely olive green twine and an appropriately nautical charm et voila! 

I used my distress inks to colour this fabulous Lili of the Valley fisherman. Although I'm still very new to using distress inks to colour, I'm pleased with this card, even if I did leave slightly more white around the wee fisherman than I meant to, it just kinda works. So I didn't try to fix it.
