Sweet Stampin' ~ Summer Brights

Hey there lovelies. I'm here tonight with my DT creation for Sweet Stampin' and we have a fun one for you this week. We are showing our 'Summer Brights' creations and hope you'll come and play along too. It's Just For Fun, but we have a Top 3 pic each week so join in the fun if you can.

I've used an awesome stamp from SugarPea Designs called 'On Target'. This set is sadly out of stock now. I'm so glad I bought it when I did, as I knew it would make a fantastic card for my Georgie! My wee girlie has been doing archery for a number of years now and really loves it. So this set had her name written all over it when I saw it.

I masked the image to create the puffy cloud background. I really should do this more often. I'm just a bit lazy with fussy cutting. But it looks so fabulous I think when I can be bothered to take the extra time. Do you have things like this you don't like to do in your crafting? I'm always in awe of the crafters who regularly fussy cut in their designs.

I actually made this card a while ago and have forgotten to blog it until now. This was Georgie's 12th birthday card and I kept meaning to share it, but I get so busy creating for design teams, these things fall away sometimes, so when I knew we had a Summer Brights challenge coming up, I thought this was a fantastic opportunity to share this creation with you.

My brights are not as zingy as some of my teamies, but this definitely speaks to me of Summer. The long hot days on the green watching Georgie shoot. This was such a fantastic creation for her and she really loved it when she received it. Especially because we decided it was time to allow her to read the Hunger Games too, so she was one very happy bunny. Our keen reader, she inhaled these in no time!

Well that's it for this week. All that remains is for you to come and join the fun with us, with your own 'Summer Brights' creation. Do check out what my awesomely talented teamies have been up to for this challenge, their creations are fresh and zingy and full of Summer Brightness!

I'll be back again soon with another crafty adventure. I wish you a wonderful weekend and If you stick around until the end of the post, I'll share a couple of pics of my wee archer. Hugs, Wends xoxo

Here's a few pics of my wee archer...

Before Georgie started archery, she longed for it. She used to create her own little bows.
Here she is dressed up as Astrid from How To Train Your Dragon for a school 'Book Character' day.

Georgie when she first started archery. She was only 9 years old.

We threw her an archery party for her 10th birthday. They popped balloons on the target for a fun party game. She looks pleased there, because she just popped one!

Her first archery tournament in Rotorua March 2017

Rocking the look for her 'wear a wig' outdoor field event archery tournament June 2017

Winter, she shoots indoors in a small indoor range

If you made it all the way to the end, I hope you enjoyed seeing a few pics of my girlie playing her favourite sport and I'll see you again really soon. xoxo

Your Georgie has picked a cool hobby. I have some friends who competition shoot. They love it. Way to go Georgie! Your card is fantastic. Great match for her book gifts of course. Hugs!

Awesome card and so perfect for your daughter
What a great card Wends - love the overall look you got with the angled layers.
Your Georgie has chosen an fascinating (and expensive?) sport and was obviously determined to follow her dreams. Hopefully she goes a long way with it.
Blessings

Fabulous card, that's a gorgeous stamp, perfect choice for Georgie's card. Great layout and the sky looks amazing, worth the effort of making the mask.
