The Paper Door ~ Adorable Otters

Hey there my lovely crafty pals. I'm here with my second Paper Door Creation with this fabulous set of Adorable Otters. I'm not a pun person normally, but there is something 'otterly' adorable about this set! If you saw my first creation, you will have noted the wee diecut hearts. This was the paper I cut those hearts from and when I was done, I had a wee brain flash, to turn this into a shaker card! So that's what I did. 

I've coloured this wee otter in with my warm grey Copic Markers and popped him up on the little wood stump that comes with the set. He's my favourite of the wee otters, how can you resist this sweet face?! I think the friends sentiment was a nice one for this creation. I had intended to use browns when I stamped him in brown ink and I think next time, I'll try brown tones. He'd be cute with a black ink base I think too.

I couldn't find my ovals when I was making this card, so I pulled out an older balloon die from Whimsy and used that, just snipping the wee tail where the string gets tied off before popping the blue background behind the wee otter. I matted the sentiment with the same blue, which is the back of one of the designer papers that's included in the kit, so lovely! A simple but fun shaker card.

I am really enjoying these gorgeous Paper Door sets, they have elements that combine so beautifully together, but also can be mixed and matched with other elements in my stash.
