Whimsy Wednesday ~ Birthday Hello
Hey there my lovely crafty pals. I'm here today to share my Whimsy Wednesday post and this week, I'm sharing this adorable Birthday Penguin by Crissy Armstrong. I just love her penguins, they have the sweetest faces and are so fun to colour.
I created this card to look like a parcel top, with the ribbon cross and pretty bow and I was rifling through things I had sitting on my desk and found this lovely gold glitter card that I'd cut into a circle and not ended up using for a previous creation, which with that black and white paper and the pop of pink, I thought brought such a nice element of opulence. At least that's the word hubby used when describing this card and I think it fits nicely.
This adorable image from Crissy Armstrong's Digital Collection for Whimsy Stamps is just so sweet. I love that face! I just had to add rosy cheeks! So fun and easy to colour up with my Copic Markers. Such a sweet image for a birthday celebration. I messed up the balloon when I was fussy cutting (gutted!) so don't look too closely. I will add another balloon on top once I've had a chance to get to the printers again.
I just loved adding this chocolate box bow on this design. I've created a double bow using the technique I learnt some years back now from the lovely Jak Heath. I just love this easy double bow technique and I use it loads! If you click through on Jak's name, it will take you through to the tutorial I'm referencing.
We have such a gorgeous lineup of images in the May Digital Release, so be sure to stop into the store for a looksy. The digital images have such a great price point and no postage! Which living here in New Zealand, I appreciate SO much! I also find it great for storage, just remember to back up your files regularly!
I'll be back again soon with another crafty adventure, but in the meantime, I wish you a wonderful remainder of your week and happy crafting! Hugs, Wends xoxo
