Whimsy Stamps ~ Cinnamon's Pumpkin

Hey there crafty friends. I'm on a bit of a catch up this week, as I've had my lil' guy poorly for quite a few days and not had time to post or to create as I'd have liked. I did share this cutie with our New Release post for Whimsy Stamps, but hadn't had a chance to blog it here. So here is my Autumnal creation with sweet Cinnamon and her Fall Pumpkin. I think this is such a sweet image and I really wanted to use that fabulous tree from the Whimsy die set and the sweet little squirrel that comes with it. It's my baby sister Rebecca's birthday today. This image made me think of her and her sweet kiddos. She lives in San Diego and every Fall, they send us gorgeous images of them in the Pumpkin Patch choosing their Halloween Pumpkin to carve.

I've used one of Crissy Armstrong's stunning wood papers from the Rustic Wood and Brick Digital Paper set to create the tree. I coloured up the cute squirrel from the same die set the tree came from, with my Copics. I've coloured up a white doily orange to set the scene for the image and used one of my favourite Autumn plaid papers from Pixel Scrapper artist Rachel Martin. Such an adorable image and so lovely to colour and work with. I wanted to ground the wee squirrel on a mountain of nuts, but didn't have the right size dies! So he's kind just climbing the tree instead, LOL.

Adorable image and great coloring and love the wood design paper square frame you used for your card shape, torn edges on the plaid and colors in the plaid that were a complement to your image colors. Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble; but don't forget we are teaming up with Use Your Stuff and you have met their requirement of a "frame and/or tag" for your project. You can find their link on our post and I'm sure they would love to see your card on their site as well. Please follow us for future fun challenges and partners at Double Trouble.
