Christmas at Sweet Stampin' ~ Feature A Sentiment

Hello my lovely crafty friends. It's time to share our February Christmas Challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' and gosh have my teamies nailed it this month! We're using themes this year as a gentle prompt to get your Christmas mojo flowing and this month, our theme is 'Feature A Sentiment'. How you interpret that is over to you, but we would definitely like to see your sentiment as the focal point of your card. These two creations I'm showing today, were part of that huge commission I did for my boss back in December and I knew our themes then, so designed with this in mind.

This first creation was made using a diecut wreath sentiment which came as a cover gift with Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine last year. It also came with a gorgeous Scandinavian stamp set, just my thing for Christmas! It's from the Signature Collection from the Crafter's Companion Range. I paired it with a lovely wreath embossing folder which was from another magazine cover gift. I do so love using my magazine cover gifts, it gives me a sense of justification for the money I spend on them! They're jolly expensive to get to New Zealand!! LOL

This second card I snapped in haste the morning I was giving the commission to the boss, so I apologise for the different background. But it's essentially the same recipe as the first card. I used another magazine cover gift for this card and heat embossed the stamp in the middle of the dry embossed wreath this time. This is a lovely stamps and so makes me miss my wee Robins from England. They were regular visitors to our yard when we lived in London. The paper I used on both cards is from a lovely 12x12 Bobunny Christmas paper with fabulous Glitter details. I added two score lines top and bottom on these designs to give them an elegant finish and I really love what that simple trick added to these cards. I adore my little tartan bows, so I'm always delighted when I can get them onto a card! These really are simple but elegant designs I think and the boss was very happy with them. I'll definitely repeat some of these ideas for next Christmas.

I hope you'll come and join us at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' this month for our 'Feature a Sentiment' challenge. We're so keen to see what you'll be inspired to create! I'll be back again soon with another crafty adventure. Wishing you a wonderful week! Hugs, Wends xoxo
