Whimsy Stamps ~ Beautiful Vintage Blue

Hi ya crafty pals, I'm here to share another creation with our latest brand new set of gorgeous digital papers from Whimsy Stamps. This beautiful set of papers was created by Denise Lynn and has the loveliest romantic shabby chic finish. They're pretty florals, but something about the hue of these ones made me think of Christmas, so I decided to make a Christmas shaker card.

I used a fabulous die from Whimsy Stamps called the Shaker Maker Combo Die Set to create the large shaker window. I popped up the outer frame on foam to create the shaker and kept the paper cut from the centre to continue the pretty paper background as the base of the shaker design.  I chose to add some pink sequins to the mix too as this particular paper from the set has a lovely pink tinge to it. I used a mix of sequins for this creation.

These papers really are gorgeous. I printed the three above for my first planned creations. The top left paper is the one I've used for this shaker design and the one down front I used for the round card I shared the other day. Every paper in this set is stunning and I can see I'm going to use them over and over.

I chose this shaker design so there would be a wide open shaker window to best showcase the beauty of this paper and so there was plenty of space for the lovely shaker elements to rattle around. But of course, it needed some embellies to finish off the design. So I turned this shaker into a Winter woodland scene.

The beautiful woodland scene was created with a gorgeous die set from Whimsy Stamps called Forest Majesty. I absolutely LOVE the way these Birch trees are designed, I've seen dies before attempt this look, but I think this set pulls off this look particularly well and the deer are so sweet. I'm so pulling them out again for Christmas makes coming up. I cut them from a thick slightly textured cardstock and I LOVE how this looks in that rich blue with these beautiful papers. A simple sentiment was all it needed to finish the card and the Large Merry Word Die from Whimsy was just the perfect finishing touch. I diecut it from sparkly silver cardstock, which is actually really sparkly and lovely in reality, it doesn't capture well in a still shot.

I hope you've enjoyed your visit to my blog today, I always love reading comments that are left and hope to be popping around to visit my blog buddies in the next day or so. Life is so full lately, you're liable to get a whole lot of comments from me all at once! LOL. Thanks for stopping in and I wish you a wonderful week. My kiddos return to school this week, for the first time in weeks, so they're both nervous and excited. Life is slowly coming out of hibernation! Hugs to you all xoxo

Totally gorgeous card Wendy. The papers are beautiful and I love this shaker card. So elegant.
What lovely papers Wends, and I had noticed the pink tinges in the one you picked for this card, and the pink sequins really draw it out. A pretty Christmas scene
My Grandies are looking forward to returning to school, as is their Mum, my DD.
Stay safe
