Whimsy Stamps ~ Kindness Is Contagious

Hey crafty pals, as promised I'm back with the next creation I made for our latest Digital Release at Whimsy Stamps. We have two gorgeous sentiment sets in this release designed by our lovely Deb Davis and they are so fabulous, focusing on the themes of Gratitude and Kindness. There are lots of little elements that can be used together or separately and the joy of digital, is you can resize them to suit your creation too.

I used a gorgeous floral Layered Dahlia Clear Stamp Set from Crissy Armstrong to create the base design of this card, which I stamped in a range of coordinating shades from the Altenew Rose Petal set of dye inks. I stamped the floral design directly on the scalloped edge card base which is from a set of card bases, so long in my stash, I couldn't tell you where they're from now, sorry. But I think they give a lovely edge to the design and the heavy cardstock took the inks well.

I then layered over a strip of vellum that I'd printed the 'Kindness is Contagious' sentiment from the set of the same name. I then foiled the sentiment with Deco-Foil in Bronze. This is made possible because I use a laser printer for my black and white printing, which uses toner ink. So the sentiment was easy to foil after printing.

The final finish was a double bow in pink gingham, just to bring the design together. I was absolutely stumped how to finish this lovely design, without the bow it was missing that little extra touch and would you know hubby suggested the bow! Genius!! He does have his moments, hehe.

We have such a great range of digital products at Whimsy Stamps which in these times of restricted post is such a blessing! The joy of creation can continue despite the lockdown restrictions. Love that!  We have another gorgeous freebie this week from the lovely Barbara Sproatmeyer too, perfect for these difficult times, so if you've not popped into the Whimsy Stamps Facebook page lately, be sure you do to grab that! I hope you enjoyed seeing this creation, I had great fun putting this together, the stamping was very relaxing. I need to pull out my floral images more, I really do love working with them. Wishing you all a wonderful week. Stay safe and happy creating. Hugs xoxo

As You Like It: Favourite non-birthday occasion and why? I like to create 'just because' cards quite often choosing sentiments that can be interpreted in a few different ways. That way, when I need a card to fit a certain occasion I can usually make it work. I love to create specifically for a person and for an occasion, but there are times when I need to grab something from my stash and this makes it possible to adapt to the need.
