Sweet Stampin' ~ Your Favourite Stamp

Hey there my lovely crafty pals. I'm popping in today with a couple of creations I made this year for two of my work colleagues. I coloured these images at the same time in slightly differing tones and really love how the first creation came together, so I went for a very similar layout for the second card. I actually added a German Birthday greeting to the first card, but forgot to snap a pic once I'd added it. My colleague was delighted with this hat tip to her German heritage, so I'm sad I didn't capture that to share. I added to the top right hand corner as a little banner, with a gold glitter banner shadowing beneath. It looked really lovely. This is the card before I added the sentiment.

I used a more blue-green combo of Karin Markers for the leaves on this card and a softer set of pinks for the petals. I just loved working with these pens on this big beautiful bloom, such a beautiful large canvas to play with this new colouring medium to me.

The second card I created, was for my lovely boss, to celebrate her 60th birthday. Not sure she wanted that emphasized, but she was very happy with the lovely morning tea party we threw for her at work in celebration of that!

I really loved the shades of green I used on this one, more yellowy-green and so deep and lush. I also went for some slightly deeper shades of pink on the bloom. I love plaids, so went for another gorgeous plaid paper and used the same gold glitter trim to matt the image. I used a satin finish gold cardstock to cut the sentiment and numbers. I had wanted to use glitter cardstock, but couldn't find where I'd stashed my left over pieces. So opted for the satin finish cardstock and actually really love how this ended up looking. Elegant and understated I think.

We're having a 'Favourite Stamp' challenge at Sweet Stampin' this week and this was for sure a favourite for me this year, working with a new colouring medium and just 'playing' to see how it came together. I really enjoyed working with this beautiful big bold floral image from Unity Stamps. I have it in Digital Form, as they did a special promotion during lockdown, to try and support those stuck at home with better access to creative mediums, that the postal service might otherwise take ages to deliver, especially to New Zealand! So I was delighted to buy a few of these digital versions of their images. I just wish they did a few more! Digital really is a wonderful thing, when you live so far away from the source! I hope you'll come and play along with us this week at Sweet Stampin' and show us your favourite stamp and how you use it. I'll be back again soon with another crafty adventure very soon. Hugs and thanks for your lovely visit! I hope to pop in for some blog visits myself in the next couple of days, Wends xoxo
