Whimsy Fun ~ Little Boy Loves

Hey crafty friends, I'm popping in with a sweet creation today, that was made for my mumma. But with my little boy in mind. We gave this to her on Mother's Day and she was delighted! I adore Crissy Armstrong's images, but most especially, her little people. Her child characters have a sweetness about them that is just utterly enchanting. I've used this cute image before to create a card for one of Zac's little friends and that's a sweet story too, you can read that here.

The paper I've used is from the beautiful floral paper pack by Whimsy Stamps called Fabulous Florals. This is one of the plainer backs, a gorgeous watercolour stripe, which worked so nicely for this creation. I've used my favourite Notched Squares Die Set to create the lovely shaped card design. I added a doily behind the image, because I think this can be such a pretty finish to a card, some simple bakers twine and the offcut of a white vegetable mesh bag, which worked a treat to add some interesting texture behind the image. Yes, I know, I keep EVERYTHING! I mounted the card layers onto a lovely kraft card base and then notched the corners with my 1 inch circle punch to match the notched paper layer.

I adore this sweet image by Crissy Armstrong. I love daisies and my kiddies have brought me many a fistful of flowers in their younger days. It was something my daughter in particular used to do. It brings this mumma's heart such joy and this image embodies that for me! My mumma absolutely loved her card and we really enjoyed giving it to her. She has a little selection now on display, which is so lovely. You know a handmade card is appreciated when it stays out on display!

Well that's me for today. I'll be back again soon with another crafty adventure. In the meantime, I wish you a wonderful week and happy creating! Hugs xoxo

Just adorable Wendy. Love all the texture on the card.
This is gorgeous Wends - love your colouring of the fabulous image and I spotted and recognised the veggie bag. I have saved a few over the years too!
Stay safe
