Whimsy Stamps ~ Snuggle Bunny
Hey there crafty pals, I'm back with another cute share for August. I can't believe how fast this year is going, before you know it, we'll be bringing you the new Whimsy release in September! But first, let me share this adorable creation with you. I had a play with one of our new embossing folders at Whimsy, it's a slimline embossing folder. It has a lovely basket weave texture and is just perfect for that extra little bit of interest when needed in a design. I chose a kraft base and used the embossing folder to add that bit of interest and texture here.
This adorable image is from a Crissy Armstrong Gnome set. I just adore her gnomes, they're the closest to my idea of the real Swedish Tomte gnomes, so I have a huge soft spot for these. I decided to have some fun with watercolour for this creation. So pulled out my distress ink markers and had a bit of a play. I am not a watercolour artist by any stretch of the imagination, but sometimes it's fun just to play.
After colouring the image, I diecut it with a fabulous frame from Whimsy Stamps. I love the double stitched border on this, it looks so fabulous. I popped up the central panel on thick foam to give the design a bit of depth and dimension. It's such a simple design otherwise, so this really helps to give it that little needed extra interest.
The wonderful Hugs word die is a two part die, I've used just half of for this creation. I actually trimmed down the H a little bit to fit the design, as it's quite a bold large design. The cute button die is from a fabulous Whimsy Stamps die set that I'll share a creation with soon. I just used the button on this occasion but it is a fun pocket die set. This wee button was the perfect finish with a bit of cross stitch thread to complete my design. I think this card would suit many occasions, so kept it quite simple in message and design.
Thanks for popping in to visit today. I hope you've enjoyed this crafty wee adventure and I'll be back again soon with another. In the meantime, stay healthy and safe and happy crafty adventures to you!
