Sweet Stampin' ~ Christmas in September

Hey there crafty friends, we are having a Christmas challenge this time at Sweet Stampin', which can't come too soon for me, because I'm so behind getting my Christmas card pile started! I need to do a little batch make to catch up a bit! So it was good to have this theme to create for at Sweet Stampin'.

I created this sweet Christmas card with a lovely image from Whimsy Stamps, that is sadly now retired. It was from their Marina Fedotova range and oh how I miss these sweet stamps! I so loved pulling this stamp out for a play. I coloured the image with copic markers and added a few sparkly details with a gelly roll sparkle pen. I can never recall the copic marker colours I use after the fact, so took a quick snap this time mid-process.

I used a lovely rounded corner die from Whimsy Stamps to cut the image frame and wanted a simple finish for the card, so as much of the lovely bokeh paper could show. I added a bit of silver ribbon that was in my stash and a lovely heart diecut which is also from Whimsy.

I rounded the corners of the paper with my corner rounding punch to match the image frame and mounted the card onto a plain 6x6 card base, trimmed slightly so it doesn't show behind the paper, as I like the simple finish. I've at least one sweet Christmas creation now to add to my Christmas card pile. Now to get on with creating the rest!

I hope you'll come and join our Christmas challenge at Sweet Stampin' this week, it's fun to see what others are inspired to create for Christmas. I'll be back again soon with another crafty adventure, in the mean time, I wish you a beautiful week. Hugs, Wends xoxo

Lovely cute card.
Thank you for your comments on my blog.
Yes I post out all my digital Christmas cards plus a few hand made cards to family and friends during November and December.
I am on a few design teams so this helps me to make cards all year.
I make digital cards when I can as that is easier on my band hands and bad eyes.
Best wishes
