Sweet Stampin' ~ Use Your Older Stash

Hey crafty friends, it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' and this time, we'd like to see you pull out your older stash for a play! It's so easy to craft with the latest, shiniest, newest stash in our collection, but what about all those gorgeous older stamps that are still utterly fabulous but needing to see some ink? So pull out your old fav's and give them some love. I've used an older Unity Stamps image for my creation, which is a really fun retro silhouette image, so perfect for an inky background.

A few years back there was a real trend for these characters, on coasters and magnets, with sassy messages. I have a few of both! It was around the time we lived in London and my Swedish bestie and I really loved them. So, for her big birthday, towards the end of last year, I created this sassy design. I didn't share it previously, as it takes a while with todays postal delays for anything to arrive, so this is the perfect opportunity to share and it fits the theme of this challenge so perfectly. A simple watercolour wash and some stamping in Versafine Onyx Black for a crisp finish and a nice stitch die to complete the look and I was happy with this creation. I wanted to keep it simple, so the image and sentiment could take centre stage and I love how this turned out. My bestie hasn't actually commented on the card, but I'm pretty sure she'll have loved it. There were lots of other things in the parcel to talk about!

Do pop on over and check out what the rest of the amazing Sweeties got up to for this challenge. It was so fun to see what the team pulled out of their forgotten stash to create with. Some of my favourite Sugar Nellies amongst them. I'll be back again soon with another crafty adventure. In the meantime, I wish you a wonderful weekend and happy crafty days. Hugs, Wends xoxo
