Whimsy Stamps ~ 50 is the new 30

Hey there crafty friends! I've reached that time in my life, where so many friends are celebrating 'big birthdays'. Here is another creation I made to celebrate a 50th birthday. It is a wee notecard to go with a parcel I was sending to my sister in law. She's not one for a lot of fuss, so I kept it very simple and elegant, which was made so easy with a lovely Sketchy Florals stamp set from Whimsy Stamps.

I stamped this lovely floral image onto watercolour paper and used a mix of watercolour markers to colour it. I used a pale blue to give a soft wash around the image. The centre of the flowers I added a touch of sparkle to with a Wink of Stella sparkle pen in yellow.

I added the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink to get a good clear impression on the textured paper. A simple but I think elegant creation for my lovely sister in law.

Well that wraps up my Whimsy creations for March. This month has whizzed past! Thank you sweet friends for the lovely birthday messages yesterday. I had a very happy day and feel very blessed. Hugs and happy crafting xoxo
