Whimsy Stamps ~ Easter Love

Crafty friends, I've been creating a few Easter themed tags and cards in the lead up to Easter and I cannot believe how fast this past week has flown! My littlest dude had camp over last weekend, so the days in the lead up to that were all about getting him ready, then he was gone and there was a Zac shaped hole in our entire weekend, then when he got back it was all about the camp stories and snuggles and happy mama moments, listening to my how my boy tried things that pushed him out of his comfort zone. He even won the Animal Survival game, which he'd been so nervous about, before camp started. So that was so lovely to hear his retelling of all his camp fun and now boom, it's suddenly Good Friday tomorrow! So I really need to share some of my Easter crafty adventures with you! Here's the first...

I love this sweet image by Sylvia Zet, it's such a cutie and every Easter, I enjoy seeing other Whimsy friends, colouring up their versions, I thought it was time I had another colour up of this cutie. I chose to create a little tag style ornament which could be hung from a branch, or window latch for Easter. A wee room decoration to brighten and cheer. Nothing brighter or more cheery than yellow right?! The colour of sunshine and so many spring blooms. So I opted to use this as the base colour for the design. But I used a gorgeous paper from a Whimsy Stamps paper pack with a slightly softer palette, which balanced things out a bit.

I coloured the image with Copic Markers and die cut the egg shapes with a fab Whimsy Stamps layered eggs die set. I punched the hole for the ribbon to be looped through and added an eyelet, to make it stronger since it is intended to be an ornament that will come out each Easter. I'll be sending this to my bestie in Sweden, I'm late, which with current postal times is crazy, as it'll arrive in time for Christmas probably, hehe, but as they say, it's the thought that counts and she can bring it out next Easter.

I'll be back with another Easter crafty adventure very soon, but will leave you here with wishes for a joyful remainder of your week and a truly beautiful and happy Easter celebration. Hugs xoxo

A sweet ornament Wends - I am sure your friend will be pleased to receive it, no matter when it arrives. It is so beautifully made too.

Aww, that's adorable Wends! One of the cutest Easter digis I've seen. Beauitiful colouring and colours and a fab die cut sentiment.
Glad Zac enjoyed his camp experience- it's hard for a Mum to let go and let their child go off on adventures! I remember the first time my son went to Cub camp- he was only eight and i didn't sleep for the 2 nights he was away- he had a whale of a time and talked about it for weeks afterwards!
xx
