Sweet Stampin' ~ Christmas in July

Hey crafty friends, I know it feels like we just did a Christmas challenge (and you're not wrong) but that special day will be here again before you know it and I still have oodles of cards to make, so here are a couple that I pulled from the vault of yet to share cards. They were quick makes, but none the less, they meet the brief of Christmas with some stamping!

These cards were made with a lovely set of Penny Black Premium Cardstock Scenes called Snowfall Serenity. There are several available and they're all lovely. I really like the paper these are printed on. They have a linen finish with gentle grid lines. It just gives such a lovely feel of elegance and quality. I really like them. The sentiments come from a Penny Black Stamp Set called Snowflake Season. I stamped them with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink.

I kept things very simple for these cards, just adding some touches of glitter where the snowfalls landed, for a gentle touch of sparkle and refracted light. I used simple stitched border dies for them all, the top one is from Whimsy Stamps with the notched corners and the other two I used a simple stitched rectangle frame from Paper Rose Studio.

For this version, I added an embossed panel behind for a bit of interest. I used a Spellbinders Embossing Folder called Heart and Soul. It gives a fun bit of texture around the scene. I popped the image panel up on foam for that added touch of dimension. All three panels were popped up on foam. I find this gives an effortless touch of elegance.

Thanks for popping in to visit friends, I hope you've enjoyed this creative journey. Do check out the amazing creations made by my teamies over on the Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog. I do use affiliate links where possible, which gives me a tiny commission but costs you no extra whatsoever. It helps the companies I design for to improve their marketing practice and track my contributions. I am deeply grateful if you use them for these reasons. I am proud to design for the companies I do and always feel happy to share where my inspiration and where my crafty stash comes from. I am occasionally gifted products to use, but I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)
