Rock-a-Bye Baby
There are so many babies being born right now in my little corner of the world. I have two cousins who are in their second trimesters and another two who have just had their Winter babies. Though Winter babies here, are not like Winter babies in the UK. No need to rug them up quite the same! It's the heart of Winter here and I'd be quite happy to have this all year 'round! It's stunning outside, blue skies, white puffy clouds, a lovely warm day. Really can't complain of Winter blues over here!! My cousins certainly didn't bring their babies home in the snow as we did with Georgie late Feb 2005 in London!
One of these cousins lives in Australia and has just had a little girl. She's such a little sweetie. A beautiful baby sis for their gorgeous 2 year old boy. Sweetly, there's six months almost to the day between my Zac and their first born. I'm looking forward to those family get togethers now that we're home from the UK for the lil' dudes to get to know each other better. In the meantime, I need to focus on getting a parcel across to his baby sister (with a little something for the big brother too of course).
I made another CAS card using another of my favourite baby stamps from Lili of the Valley. I think this and the other sweet one I posted earlier are just adorable for new baby makes. They're so enchanting, they lend themselves perfectly to the CAS style of card. I was very excited with this card to use a new die I bought recently. I just 'had to have it' after seeing it used on my lovely craft pal Elaine's creations. She's a very talented crafter who's work I totally adore. She uses all my favourite papers, amazing dies, has just the right balance of stylish layouts and bling but best of all and the most covet-able are her amazing distress ink skills. Check out her blog, she's fab! I can only dream of being able to rock the inks like that, so I'll stick with my fabby Promarkers and just limit my influence from her to pinching all her great shopping spots! LOL. I think this stitched edge die from Lil' Inkers was a really lovely finish to this CAS card design and with only a little satin ribbon and some Stickles to make the hearts sparkly, this design came together really quickly. You gotta love a bit of satin ribbon to 'tie up' a design. Sorry, couldn't resist! LOL.
There's little else to say about this card. Sweet and simple! Check out the gorgeous stamps at Lili of the Valley for this and similarly styled baby stamps. Thanks for popping in and be sure to let me know you have, so I can return the favour. Big hugs, Wends x

I agree with you Elaine is the bomb and such a SWEETIE!!! haha! I can see her influence in your card.
BTW, you definitely can use ink pads for distress ink coloring!! They work just as well! I actually mention that in my videos.

Thank you so much for your very kind (and flattering) words, you made me blush!
I love those Lil'Inker dies so much, it's only because of the cost of the customs charges that I don't shop there very often.
I am sorry I haven't been around again this week or on blogger, my mum (81) had a stroke on Tuesday morning so the week has been spent too-ing and fro-ing between home, hospital and Mum and Dads home.
Thankfully, she is doing extremely well and making a remarkable recovery.
Big hugs
