Fab 'n' Funky - Ribbon & Lace
Oh what an awful week I've had! I've been sick in bed for four days running with a 40 degree fever (that's 104 to the US crew) so I'm late with my DT post, but managed when my fever finally broke, to feel well enough to finish the card I'd started. So here is my Fab 'n' Funky DT creation for our challenge this week. It's my challenge to host and I chose the theme 'Ribbon & Lace'. I use these a lot on my cards, so I thought it would make a nice easy theme. So please pull out your lace & ribbon and come join in our challenge!
Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs who gave us some fabulous images to work with. I chose the lovely 'Maxi Skirt Momma' for mine. There are so many babies in my life right now. So this image really appealed as a gorgeous celebration of that special time of life.

Before I fell sick, I'd chosen some pretty paper and decided that I'd use one of my new dies that my lovely hubby bought me for Christmas. The paper is from a lovely Prima paper pad called Fairy Belle and my new die is a Spellbinders border die called A2 Curved Border One. Quite a mouthful, but a fabulous pack of gorgeous dies for pretty edging and I've been itching to try it out!
I used a printed ribbon for the sentiment and added another pretty organza bow and some lovely cotton lace to complete my 'Ribbon & Lace' component of my card. The image printed out much larger than I'd expected, so was quite large compared to my card base, I usually go for a little more space around the image, but working with what I had and considering how poorly I've been, I didn't mess around trying to reprint it.
Well that's it from me today. I've tried several times to complete this post over the past 24 hours. So I'll stop there. I'm back off to bed for a lay down. Thanks for stopping in and be sure to join in my 'Ribbon & Lace' challenge at Fab 'n' Funky. Hugs, Wends x

As You Like It: CAS or Fussy? Oh no! I'm on the fence!! I utterly LOVE other's fussy, shabby chic cards, but I'm pants at doing them myself. So I'd have to say CAS, as this is the style I do best.
