Loves Rubberstamps - All Dressed Up
Hey there all my lovely blogging pals. I am racing out the door to go and be with my buddy who is in labour. So this is going to be a 'holding page' post, until I can get back to write up detes. It's time for another Loves Rubberstamps challenge and we have an awesome one for you this week - Spots & Dots. So here's my card and I'll come back and write up the details when I'm back from the hospital.
The rest of the Loves Rubberstamps team have been hard at work with their gorgeous DT makes, so go check those out and I'll be back soon with more detes on mine.
Running out door... Wends x
...I'm back!
Thanks for waiting for me. Now where was I? Oh yes, we are being sponsored this challenge by the wonderful team at All Dressed Up Stamps. I've used a gorgeous stamp for my creation called Girl On A Bike. How wistful and sweet is this lil' character. I just loved the flowers in her hair and I just couldn't stop at a simple outline when I was adding colour around the image. I got totally carried away and drew in the entire background! I wanted it to be a sunny day with blue skies, so there's not a cloud to be seen. (Okay, I'll fess up and be honest, that I'm really pants at cloud techniques, but that said, I really LIKE how this turned out.)
Now to tell you about my adventures with this creation. I found these gorgeous My Mind's Eye papers called Summer Fresh from the Simple Stories range, which fit our Spots and Dots theme perfectly with their lovely green dotty paper and the sweet denim floral. If you think you've seen me use this recently, you're not wrong! I did and you can see that here. The circle on this card, is actually the 'waste' cut from that card. The die I used is actually a Lil' Inkers die, but Laura has a very similar one in the store from MFT, which you can find here.
You can find all the links for the supplies I used below. Love, love, LOVE my Tool 'n' One, sooooo happy I bought that bit of kit. Works a treat for getting those tricky little diecut pieces loose. Also really loving my non-stick craft sheet. A truly brilliant bit of kit. So much easier cleaning up my inky, gluey messes when I've been using this! Now I just have to remember to use it EVERY time! LOL. I'm loving my Wink of Stella pens too. I used these on the flowers in the bike basket for that added bit of shine and glitz. It doesn't show at all well in the above pic, but it's got a pretty sparkle in reality.
