Loves Rubberstamps ~ Sensational Sunday Blog Hop ~ Whiff of Joy

It's time for another Loves Rubberstamps weekly Sensational Sunday Blog Hop! The Design Team has been busy creating some gorgeous projects for your Inspiration. Click on each link in the Hop and leave a comment to be in with a chance of winning the mystery prize. If you get lost along the way, each stop will have a full list of links. One of the Design Team posts is the hop's Sensational Sunday Sweet Spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to be in a monthly draw for a $20 Loves Rubberstamps Gift Voucher! We will draw the winner of the Voucher the 1st Sunday of each month from all the comments left on the design team blogs! Remember, you have until 8:00 pm CST Saturday to leave your comments! So come hop along with us and be inspired to create.

I was inspired by our talented Loves Rubberstamps Video Designer Lynda Evan's fabulous watermark tutorial in her 'Boop Beep Robot Goodie Bag' video, to give watermark stamping a go. I had this cute stamp from Whiff of Joy and a little dude's birthday to celebrate, so thought it was time I gave this technique a go. You can find lots of gorgeous Whiff of Joy stamps at the Loves Rubberstamps store. I used my Alcohol Markers to colour the image and I watermarked the paper using a Versamark Watermark Stamp Cube and some leafy floral stamps I had in my stash, you can find stamps that would work for this technique here. I inked the lovely Whiff of Joy sentiment using Memento Olive Grove Ink. I also put a sentiment on the inside of the card which I inked again with Olive Grove Memento Ink.

I love the way the watermark ink looks on this cardstock. Both my hubby and sis when they looked at it, said, gosh it looks like leather! So I thought that was kind of a fun finish to end up with. I diecut the circle for the image using a die that cuts stitches both inside and outside the main cut, but you can find a similar die here. I then mounted the watermarked cardstock on foam pads to give a bit of dimension to the card and added some matching toned enamel dots to finish.

Card Recipe:
Enamel Dots
 Green Cardstock
Stitched Circle Die
Dimensional Foam Pads
Whiff of Joy ~ Lazy Afternoon
Colouring Medium: Alcohol Markers
Sentiment Ink: Olive Grove Memento Ink
Sentiment: Magic Moments by Whiff of Joy
