Loves Rubberstamps - Anything Goes

Wow this fortnight flew by in a hurry. I've got the kiddos off school on Winter break now, so we're catching up on all the term chores and planning some fun 'Staycation' outings. Today however, it's miserable out, so we're having a home day, reading, minecraft, singing Phineas & Ferb songs. Ahh, it's going to be a long day. The kiddies watched a Monster in Paris the other day, so Georgie has been singing Vanessa Paradis' 'La Seine' for the past few days. I just can't get the refrain out of my head now! I've been sat here singing it while I craft. It's very pretty and catchy.

Now, onto the business at hand. We are starting a new challenge today on the Loves Rubberstamps challenge blog and it's an 'Anything Goes' challenge, so you have carte blanche! We'd love to see where your creativity takes you. Our sponsor for this challenge is Ppinky Dolls, so I've had a go at colouring up one of their digis. I think I should have chosen a lighter print level as the shadows are quite dark, but I don't really know how to play around with that on my machine, so an experiment for another day.

I've used a beautiful Kaisercraft paper pad to create this card. The spotty paper, the sentiment die-cut, and the pretty pre-cut floral border die-cut were all from the 'Oh So Lovely' paper pad. I added a black doily and some pearls to the Swans crown and the bottom corner from a Magnolia Knicknackery set. I also added a crystal from the same set to the crown on the sentiment die-cut. The crystal showed up better than the pearl on this. I used my Sleigh Bell alcohol marker to colour the pearls and the crystal, so that they matched the golden crown. I love the way you can used Alcohol markers for this.
