Sweet Stampin' - Merry Christmas

Hey there my lovely blog pals. Here we are at the end of the year, Christmas day just around the corner. But we have been working hard at Sweet Stampin' this year to keep the challenges rolling and we have our last challenge for Team Abi and the final challenge of the year for Sweet Stampin' starting today. So we would love you to come and join us one last time in 2015 and share your gorgeous festive creations. I have been busy making some CAS style Christmas cards so I could get a few done quickly. I used some card bases that came with a craft magazine this year, which had lovely Christmas colours and themes and diecut an image to sit in the centre of the circular design on the card. I added a layer of glitter just inside the gold circle, which in reality looks really sparkly and pretty and set up the image really well. 

I've used a super cute Saturated Canary image by Krista Smith for this card and coloured it with my Promarkers. I think this is such a sweet image and it reminded me of one of Zac's little Playcentre friends who moved away earlier this year, so it's been posted to her for Christmas. I made her a little card previously with another of Krista's gorgeous images, which so looked like her, and I thought this was a cute Winter version. Though her hair isn't pink! That was just for fun. You can see the other card I made for her here.

I used a lovely sentiment from a Mulberry Wood set that was a free gift from Issue 133 of Quick Cards Magazine for this card. I used London Fog Memento Ink to stamp the sentiment directly onto the card base. I added a simple strip of self adhesive cotton lace under the image to finish the card. Just a touch of Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels in Diamond Sprinkles to finish the snow and fur and my card was done. Very CAS but I think quite pretty and so simple for a quick Christmas make.
