Southern Girls Challenge ~ Boys Will Be Boys

Bus number two is pulling into the station today, hehe, with my latest DT creation for Southern Girls Challenge. We are doing a 'Boys' challenge this week and have the lovely Sasayaki Glitter sponsoring us this fortnight. We were given some utterly adorable images to work with and I had a super cute image of theirs in my stash, so I opted to use this for a wee mans birthday that's coming up. It's called Dragoon and it reminded me of the super cute Spyro from a playstation game we used to play a few years ago (before we had the kiddos!). So I've coloured up this cute chap and created a background to look like Spyro, right down to the cute little dragonfly mascot that flies around with him. Hopefully this looks like a game scene from Spyro to those who know the game.

I used a fabulous cloud digital paper from artist Tina Shaw of the Pixel Scrappers from her 'Remembrance' set and the grassy hills were created with two papers from the same Minikit set called Christmas Gifts by Marisa Lerin also from Pixel Scrappers. I cut the hills with my Spellbinders Borderabilities A2 Curved Borders 1 die. The wee castle (there are lots of castles in the Spyro game) was cut with a Magnolia Doohickey and then embossed with a rough brick folder and the edges inked with Ingvild Bolme Chalk Ink in Dark Bark.

The rest of my teamies have some awesome inspiration for you over on the Southern Girls Challenge blog, so be sure to swing by and check out there gorgeous creations.

I hope you'll come and join us with your 'Boy' creations too and show us what inspires you. I'll be back again very soon with another crafty adventure. Until then, have a fabulous day. Hugs, Wends xoxo

Oh my gosh, the second I saw that adorable little dragon I thought of Spyro!! I loved that game, they really did ruin it in later years (he got all grown-up and scary). I love how you did the spotting on his legs and tail and added Sparks. The whole scene is just perfect <3
