Christmas at Sweet Stampin' ~ Christmas Blues

Hey friends, I have a sweet Christmas make to share with you tonight. The month has rolled around and it's time again for a new challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin'. Can you believe we're in November?!! I'm seriously needing to kick my Christmas shopping into high gear! But at least I have a small stash of handmade Christmas cards ready to go! How are you getting on with your Christmas creating?

I've made a monochrome Christmas card this time. A friend suggested I should do this in a range of colours and I quite like the idea! So now I have to hunt out some more papers that will work to do this monochrome set in. The papers I used for this one were a magazine download from Cardmaking & Papercraft Magazine issue #137. It is a lovely set of Scandinavian themed papers and this one I thought was such a perfect match for this stamp set. So I'll be on the hunt now for similar styles of paper in monochrome shades. Suggestions welcome!

It's such a lovely stamp for this style of crafting. The detail is really pretty, with all the scrolls and pretty etchings. It was part of a magazine cover-set many moons ago. I believe the designer is Jennifer Ellory and the magazine was Cardmaking & Papercrafts. But I've not made a note of the issue number sadly, so if you happen to know, please enlighten me.

This was a very quick and easy creation. Just some white ink around the edges of the paper, some baker's twine and oval stitched diecut of the image panel which I popped up on foam for a bit of dimension and I used a Christmas sentiment from my stash. Simples!

Do come and join us this month at Christmas at Sweet Stampin'. My teamies have created some beautiful Christmas crafts! I'm rather swoony over one in particular, so be sure to stop by and work out which one I'm talking about! Do come and share your Christmas creations with us too. We're getting very close to needing to post those Christmas makes! So I hope you're getting ahead with yours. I look forward to seeing what you create. Hugs and happy crafting, Wends xoxo

As You Like It: Monochrome or Rainbow ~ I'm really torn with this one, as I love both! But I don't often create makes with lots of colours, I prefer muted tones and close colours, so I'm going to say Monochrome.
