Whimsy Wednesday ~ Tickled Pink Christmas

Hey there my lovely crafty pals. I hope you've been having a great week, mine is whizzing by at break-neck spead again. It's already time for another Whimsy Wednesday post, so here is my creation tonight, using a fun new image from a new line of stamps to Whimsy.

Whimsy is now home to a range of digital images from CC Designs. This image is from the Tickled Pink line of stamps and she's called Christmas Evie. How cute is she with her knee high socks and cute Christmas bells. I really loved colouring this image and went for a 'Mama Claus' kinda feel. She was colouring with my Copic Markers and very little embellishment to the actual image, other than three tiny red pearls as berries on her hat.

I've used a fabulous stripy paper from the Whimsy Stamps digital paper set Holiday Cheer, designed by Denise Lynn. I kept the design of the card very simple, as I really wanted the image to feature. So a card slightly larger than the image panel, some simple spotty ribbon to accent the stripy paper and some flatback red pearls to the four corners. It needed a little extra touch to finish, so I added a sparkly snowflake. I am LOVING these snowflake dies. I think I've used them on just about every Christmas creation I've made lately. So versatile! I added a pewter coloured flatback pearl to the centre to finish the snowflake design. The final touch was a wee sentiment tag using one of the sentiments from Crissy Armstrong's lovely freebie set that was given away with a recent Kit & Clowder promotion. It's such a lovely set and if you missed the promotion, you can still buy it in store.

Click through on the banner to see the full digital release from November or 'here' to visit the main release which has all the rubber and clear stamps, dies and stencils. There really is such a wonderful range at Whimsy Stamps and something for all tastes too! Which I think is what I love 'most' about Whimsy Stamps. I'll be back again soon with another crafty adventure and I'll be back Saturday with the December New Releases for Whimsy Stamps. Man, you are gonna LOVE them! There's some pretty special images in the new release, so be sure to pop back December 1st for the initial showcase. Until then, enjoy the rest of your week, can you believe December is right around the corner?!! Hugs and happy crafting xoxo

As You Like It: Rubber or Digis? I prefer digis. I love both rubber and digis actually, but as I live in New Zealand, it's jolly expensive getting stash sent here! So the instant download nature of digis and the convenience of being able to resize the digis too, really appeals to me and I love working with them in all the different ways digital has to offer.

Such pretty coloring. I love the metallic embellishment on the snowflake. The paper goes perfectly with the image and the theme and those red pearls create a beautiful frame effect. Thank you so much for joining us on Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. xx Ankita
